R. Dean Hasse, PT, ANMT

President / Owner

Physical Therapist
Massage Therapist

Dean graduated from Northwestern University in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in biology/ biochemistry. He then earned a master's degree in physical therapy (PT) from the University of Michigan in 1993 and began practicing. In 1999, Dean completed a certification in massage therapy and then gained advanced training in neuromuscular massage therapy in 2000. He has taken numerous continuing education courses in PT, including a spinal manipulation program. Dean focuses on treating complex spinal disorders and soft-tissue injuries.

In 1999, Dean started Cherry Creek Wellness Center (CCWC) with the goal of providing the highest-quality PT and related therapies in metro Denver. Over the last nine years, he has expanded the practice to six locations with a staff of experienced physical therapists, massage therapists, Pilates and yoga instructors, and personal trainers. He continues to look for innovative ways to provide high-quality, one-on-one care to CCWC patients.

In addition to his work, Dean loves spending time with his wife and three children, as well as golfing, skiing, hiking and running.

Ed Foresman, DPT
Physical Therapist
Ed became interested in physical therapy as a teenager when his brother, after a devastating injury, returned to high-school baseball with the help of a physical therapist. Ed earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and applied physiology from the University of Colorado. During that time he worked in an outpatient chronic pain clinic in Boulder, Colo., and decided to pursue a career in  physical therapy. He returned to the University of Colorado to earn a doctorate in PT. 
Ed continues to work with chronic pain patients, and also participates in research projects and case studies. He published his first case study in December 2009. 
An athlete, Ed has participated in collegiate rowing, soccer, long-distance running and cycling. He continues to compete in local and regional running events and has coached for the BolderBoulder training club, preparing runners for races from the 5k to the marathon. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, fly-fishing and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
   

Rhonda Dodge, MSPT
Physical Therapist

Rhonda received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Washington University, in St. Louis, MO, in 1995. Prior to that she earned a Bachelors in Biology and Psychology from Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois. She worked in St. Louis at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and then moved to Minneapolis for four years where she worked in the neurological rehab setting and then outpatient orthopedics.

A Colorado native, she was able to return to Denver in 2000 where she has had the opportunity to work in a variety of outpatient settings. Rhonda joined Cherry Creek Wellness Center in 2010. Rhonda loves working with patients in the outpatient orthopedic setting because she gets to see improvement in a short period of time. She believes in developing a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship with her patients and empowering them to be a part of their healing in order to return to a fully functional life without pain. She believes in a multi system approach to treating her patients.

Outside of work and being a mom, Rhonda has a love of travel, gardening, fitness, and cooking.

   

Krista Cable, MSPT
Physical Therapist
Certified Pilates Instructor

Krista joined Cherry Creek Wellness Center in 2005. She earned a master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Indianapolis in 2000, and has worked primarily in outpatient settings treating adults and children with orthopedic and neurological diagnoses. Krista gained additional training to treat headaches, spine disorders (including those of the neck, mid and low back and sacroiliac joint), disorders of the shoulder, and pain associated with pregnancy and the postpartum period.

She is a Polestar-certified Pilates instructor and incorporates Pilates into most of her patients’ treatment plans. Krista also teaches Pilates mat classes and private clients. She moved to Colorado from Indiana in 2004 and enjoys running, biking, hiking and spending time outdoors.

 

 

Lauren Binder, DPT
Physical Therapist

Lauren graduated from Ohio's Miami University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science and athletic training. She obtained her doctorate in PT in 2008 from Northwestern University in Chicago, where she performed research in vestibular rehabilitation. Lauren began her physical therapy career as both an inpatient and outpatient physical therapist at Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital, working mostly with patients suffering from neurological conditions.

Her passion for working with athletes and practicing manual therapy on patients with orthopedic diagnoses led her to join the staff at Cherry Creek Wellness Center. Lauren hopes to continue her education in manual therapy and wants to pursue vestibular rehabilitation as her specialty. She loves to empower her patients with the knowledge and skills to return to a symptom-free life. 

When Lauren is not working she enjoys running, volleyball, hiking, reading and spending time with family, friends and her dog.

 

  

Lea Klein, MSPT
Clinical Manager - Denver office
Women's Health Specialist

Lea received her master's degree in Physical Therapy from St. Louis University in 2001 and has worked at Cherry Creek Wellness Center since 2004. She began specializing in women's health in 2008.

With manual skills in neuromuscular massage, muscle energy techniques and joint manipulation, Lea has a passion for helping patients suffering from neck and low-back pain. That led her to learn prenatal and postpartum therapy. Lea is certified for PT in women's health and enjoys treating pelvic pain and incontinence, in addition to a wide variety of other diagnoses. 

A Colorado native, Lea enjoys playing volleyball, tennis, skiing and hiking.

 

 

Robert Mathewson, PT
Physical Therapist

Bob graduated from Slippery Rock University and Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences Physical Therapy Program in 1971. His clinical focus applies his extensive training in manual and manipulative therapies and movement re-education in the treatment of acute or chronic spine-related pain, injuries of the extremities, temporo-mandibular joint dysfunctions and headache. Bob is also trained in trigger-point dry needling.

Bob aims to help his patients achieve a positive outcome and return to an active life at home, work and play.   

 

 

 

 

Alisha Bauer, ANMT
Massage Therapist

A native of Colorado, Alisha is a massage therapist at the Cherry Creek location. She has been with Cherry Creek Wellness Center since 2004 and continues to add to her array of responsibilities. She graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a bachelor's degree in business management. After working and living in England for two years, Alisha sought a career change to help others. She returned to Colorado in 2003 and studied basic massage and advanced neuromuscular therapy at the Center of Advanced Therapeutics. 

Alisha enjoys working with people with chronic pain and specific sports injuries, finding  reward in seeing her patients begin to feel better. Alisha works with all types of patients, with a focus on prenatal massage, athletes and chronic neck and back pain. Alisha enjoys road biking, swimming. running, hiking, skiing, laughing and reading with her husband, Matt.

 

 

Stephanie Paolella, CMT

Massage Therapist

Stephanie Paolella is a certified massage therapist practicing Swedish massage, deep-tissue massage, cranial sacral therapy and lymphatic drainage massage. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver and earned her associate of occupational studies degree in massage therapy from the Colorado School of Healing Arts. Stephanie worked in corporate America for 10 years (mostly banking) before leaving to follow her passion for bodywork. She now enjoys giving massage to assist others in, relaxation and pain relief. She is a native of Denver and enjoys being around her loved ones, traveling and taking walks in nature.
 

 

 

Amy Bonkoski, CMT
Massage Therapist, Certified Health and Fitness Specialist, Lifestyle and Weight Management Coach

Amy holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, health and physical education from Biola University in Southern California. She has a passion for educating others on establishing a healthy lifestyle, including exercise and proper eating habits. Amy is certified as a health fitness specialist by the American College of Sports Medicine. In addition, she is a certified lifestyle and weight management consultant through the American Counsel on Exercise.
 
To increase her ability to benefit others, Amy learned  massage therapy at the Colorado School of Healing Arts. She discovered a love for helping those who are in chronic pain, have a specific injury or simply need to relax.
 
In her spare time Amy enjoys being outside and in the mountains. 
   
Justin Dudley, PT
Physical Therapist

Justin joined CCWC in July of 2011. He graduated from University of Colorado Denver with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Justin brings extensive sports knowledge to our team having both played and coached soccer at the collegiate and semi-professional levels. More recently, Justin’s focus has been on injury prevention, rehabilitation and returning athletes of all ages and abilities back to sport training. Justin has been involved in developing and implementing a number of ACL injury prevention programs for some of the local youth soccer clubs as well as at the collegiate level.

Justin’s specialties include sports medicine, orthopedics, manual therapy, gait and running analysis and high level conditioning. When he is not working, he loves spending time skiing, hiking, cycling and playing soccer.

Becky Kellogg, MSPT
Physical Therapist
Certified Pilates Instructor

Becky graduated with a bachelor's degreefrom Saint Mary's College in 1997. In 2000, she graduated from the Regis University Physical Therapy program with honors. Becky has special interests in manual therapy, sports injuries and Rehabilitative Pilates. She has taken many continuing education courses in these areas and is certified as a Pilates instructor by Polestar Pilates. She earned her massage therapy certification from the Center of Advanced Therapeutics.

Becky believes that the combination of her PT skills, manual therapy skills and Pilates training greatly enhance patient outcomes. Her favorite areas to treat are the spine, shoulder, knee and sacrum.

 

   
Jaime Davis Leleszi, MSPT, MTC, MT, CSCS
Physical Therapist
Clinical Manager


Jaime attained a master's degree in Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver. She has a strong interest in orthopedic manual therapy and continues extensive training in this specialty. Jamie has explored a variety of treatment techniques and principles, and reviews related research.   

She attended the Center for Advanced Therapeutics and became a Certified Massage Therapist. Additionally, Jaime is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She completed the Certified Spinal Manipulation Program and is trained in Trigger-Point Dry Needling. She believes this advanced course work enhances her PT knowledge and allows her to treat patients with a holistic approach. In her free time, she enjoys live music, photography and the Colorado outdoors.

 

   
 

Michael House, MSPT
Board-Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist

In 1997 Michael earned his master's degree in Physical Therapy from Ithaca (N.Y.) College, in his hometown. Michael has worked in settings ranging from a large advanced teaching hospital in New Jersey to a small clinic in Wray, Colo. He spent a year in Costa Rica as a volunteer physical therapist in a public school for children with cerebral palsy. It was an enriching experience in many ways: Michael became fluent in Spanish and met his Costa Rican wife, Cristina.

Michael is a board-certified orthopedic physical therapist. He is certified as a manual therapist by the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. Michael is pursuing a doctorate in physical therapy. During his free time he goes to the mountains to hike, backpack, fly-fish and telemark ski.

 

 

 

 

   
Jessica Elson, MT
Massage Therapist
Office Manager

Originally from Long Island, N.Y., Jessica graduated from Indiana University in 2001. She went on to pursue a career in therapeutic massage at the Center for Advanced Therapeutics in Denver. Jessica joined Cherry Creek Wellness Center in 2003 and rose to manage the Wheat Ridge office.

She enjoys treating patients who have suffered injuries from auto accidents, on-the-job accidents and those with chronic pain. In her spare time, Jessica loves running, Vinyasa yoga, weight lifting and exploring all the beauty Colorado has to offer.

 

 
Stephanie Uszacki, MS
Certfied Athletic Trainer
 

Stephanie earned her bachelor's  degree in physical education from Illinois State University and her master's degree in exercise and sports science from Colorado State University. She is a certified athletic trainer, working with our patients during the exercise portion of their therapy. She has taught elementary school physical education, served as a personal trainer, taught staff and students at the community college level and served as an athletic trainer at the high school level.

Stephanie enjoys helping patients find exercises they can incorporate into their daily lives, keeping them healthy and active. She loves to bike, hike, camp and play sports with her kids and husband.

Nicole Webb, MSPT
Physical Therapist

Nikki joined the Cherry Creek Wellness Center team in 2009. Born and raised in Phoenix, Ariz., she moved to Colorado in 1995. Nikki graduated in 1994 from the University of Arizona and earned a master's degree in PT from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2000. In 2003, she received certification as a National Strength and Conditioning Specialist and continues to educate herself in her professional field. In addition, she is earning a certificate to perform Trigger-Point Dry Needling to treat various pain syndromes.

Nikki has focused her PT work on spine treatment. She derives joy in providing quality patient care and making a defference. 

Her favorite leisure activities include scuba diving, traveling, cooking and spending time with her friends and family in the mountains of Colorado. She lives at home with her best pal, a black labrador retriever named Tabor Lou.

   
Amie Nangle, DPT
Physical Therapist

Raised on Cape Cod, Mass., Amie received her BA in psychology from Tufts University in Medford, Mass . After spending a few years as a math teacher, she earned a doctorate in physical therapy from Simmons College in Boston. Amie’s clinical education and internships took place at some of the nation’s top teaching hospitals, including Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.

Although she treats all general musculoskeletal conditions, Amie specializes in women’s health, focusing on pelvic floor pain and dysfunction, incontinence, pregnancy and postpartum issues, breast cancer and other conditions. Amie is also trained to teach Pilates, yoga and tai chi, and believes that the nervous system has the ability to repair itself with manual therapy and proper movement education.

Amie moved to Denver with her husband in 2008. She enjoys skiing, biking, running, yoga, and hiking with their two labradoodles.
 

Donatella Martin, MSPT
Physical Therapist

Donatella specializes in treating temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, vestibular (balance) issues and women’s cervical problems. She is certified in trigger-point dry needling and selective functional movement assessment. Donna treats conditions of the spine and extremities in patients of all ages using an individualized rehabilitation model that combines manual therapy, therapeutic exercises and symptom-relieving approaches.

Nick Holm, MSPT
Physical Therapist

After growing up on the south side of Houston, Nick attended Boston University, where he received his master's degree in Physical Therapy. Shortly thereafter he moved to Colorado and made Denver his home. Coming from a sports background, Nick has a passion for orthopedic physical therapy and looks forward to developing his manual therapy skills.

Nick has traveled extensively through Mexico, Central America and Europe, learning Spanish as a second language. He also spent time studying marine biology in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Nick is dedicated to professional growth and advocating for his patients. In his spare time, he enjoys soccer, basketball, football and snowboarding.

   

Pete VanDoren, PT
Physical Therapist
Clinical Manager

Pete graduated from the University of Colorado's physical therapy program in 2004, and has been with Cherry Creek Wellness Center since 2005. He is certified in Sports Physical Therapy through the University of St. Augustine, received his certified strength and conditioning specialist designation from the NSCA, and is a Sole Supports provider for custom foot orthotics. Pete is also trained in Pilates-based rehabilitation, spine and extremity mobilization, soft-tissue mobilization and joint stabilization therapy. He has a strong interest in sports injury rehabilitation and post-surgical rehabilitation for the spine and extremities.

Pete takes an eclectic approach to therapeutic exercise that includes Pilates, yoga, kettlebells, functional training, and sport-specific exercise.

Away from the clinic, Pete enjoys being a dedicated husband and father, riding his motorcycle around Colorado and doggedly learning to play the guitar.

Katrina Hines, PT
Physical Therapist
Specializing in Spine, chronic pain, auto injuries

A native of Wisconsin, Katrina graduated from the University of Wisconsin La-Crosse with a Biomedical science and chemistry degree and went on to obtain her Master’s in Physical Therapy from the same institution in 2006. She began her career in hospital-based, outpatient, orthopedic facilities accompanied by pediatrics, inpatient, and wound care in the state of Minnesota. She is a recent transplant to Colorado, moving here with her husband and Golden Retriever, Olive.

Katrina specializes in treatment of orthopedic injuries, with an emphasis on the spine. She has over 200-post-graduate hours of education in manual therapy and strain-counterstrain techniques. Her treatment philosophy is based on educating her patients about their injury so they can become autonomous in their own care.

When not practicing Physical Therapy, Katrina enjoys painting and being active in the outdoors with her husband and dog hiking, running, rollerblading, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. A musician, Katrina has played the flute for over 18 years, participating in many symphony’s and is continuing to pursue these endeavors in the Denver region.

THERAPY CREDENTIALs AND CERTIFICATIONS

ANMT — Advanced Neuromuscular Therapist
An advanced neuromuscular therapist is a licensed massage therapist with extensive training in assessing and treating soft-tissue pain. An ANMT aims to balance the body’s central nervous system with the musculoskeletal system through soft-tissue manipulation. See: Our Massage Therapy Services

ATC — Athletic Trainer - Certified
Certified athletic trainers are trained to prevent, recognize, evaluate, treat and recondition athletic injuries. ACTs generally have at least a bachelor’s degree and certification from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification. See: Our Personal Training Services

CLT — Complex Lymphedema Therapist
Lymphedema is swelling that occurs most often in the arms or legs due to a blockage in the lymphatic system. Lymphedema often occurs in women who have had surgery for breast cancer. CLTs have acquired training to reduce swelling through lymphatic drainage, compression bandaging, exercise and skin care. See: Lymphedema Therapy

CPT — Certified Personal Trainer
A certified personal trainer is skilled in assessing, training, motivating and educating clients based on their individual fitness needs. Generally, CPTs focus on muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility. See: Our Personal Training Services

DPT — Doctor of Physical Therapy
A physical therapist who has received a doctorate in the field. See: Our Physical Therapy Services

MSPT — Master of Science in Physical Therapy

MT — Massage Therapist
A licensed practictioner in therapeutic manipulation of muscles and connective tissues. Massage therapy can relieve pain, ease stress and, in some cases, promote healing from injury and disease. See: Our Massage Therapy Services

OTR — Occupational Therapist
An occupational therapist helps people with physical limitations to accomplish daily tasks of living. OTRs employ a variety of approaches, including exercise, instruction in solving problems, improving hand-eye coordination and using specialized equipment. See: Our Physical Therapy Services 

PT — Physical Therapist
Physical therapists treat and improve mobility and strength in people whose physical movement and function has been compromised by injury, disease or age. They develop and manage individualized plans that include exercise, stretching, massage and use of adaptive devices. PTA — Physical Therapy Assistant
